Interviews
Personal stories and honest conversations are at the heart of this channel. Whether you want to share yours or have me on yours — I'd love to hear from you.

If you have a personal story connected to the Jehovah's Witnesses — whether you're a born-in, a convert, a fader, someone who was disfellowshipped, or a family member affected by the organization's policies — I want to hear it. First-hand accounts are some of the most powerful and meaningful content on this channel, and the audience genuinely values them.
You don't need a professional setup, a polished presentation, or a perfectly packaged narrative. You just need to be willing to have an honest conversation. Every story is different, and every one of them matters.
What Makes a Good Guest?
- You have a meaningful, firsthand connection to Jehovah's Witnesses
- You're comfortable speaking on camera (anonymity options are available)
- Your experience has a clear arc or take-away that can benefit the audience
- You're open to an honest, respectful, in-depth conversation
You'll be asked to include a short video intro, a brief written summary of your story, and the take-away you'd like the audience to have.
Have Me on Your Channel or Publication
Request an interview with me
I'm genuinely flattered when other creators, journalists, or researchers want to have a conversation — thank you for even considering it. I'm always happy to connect with people doing thoughtful work in this space, and I find that the best interviews come from a shared curiosity rather than a scripted back-and-forth.
I'm comfortable discussing JW history, organizational structure, doctrinal evolution, the ExJW experience, and the psychology of high-control groups. I tend to do my best work in deep-dive formats rather than short clips or surface-level overviews.
What I'm Looking For
- A specific angle or topic rather than a generic "tell us about JWs" format
- An audience that's genuinely curious, not just looking for outrage content
- A respectful, good-faith format — adversarial gotcha interviews aren't my thing
- Flexibility on scheduling — I'm in this for the long game, not the quick hit
Please include your channel or publication name, a link, and the specific angle you'd like to explore in the conversation.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
Is anonymity an option?
Absolutely. If you'd prefer to appear without your face, under a pseudonym, or with your voice altered, just say so when you reach out. Protecting your safety and privacy is more important than a recognizable face on screen.
Do I need a professional recording setup?
No. A decent smartphone camera and a reasonably quiet space is fine. Audio quality matters more than video quality — a clear voice beats a cinematic picture every time.
How long does the process take?
Response times vary depending on what's in the queue, but I try to get back to everyone within a week. From initial contact to a published interview, the typical timeline is a few weeks to a couple of months.
Is there compensation?
The channel is a one-person independent operation and doesn't have a budget for guest compensation at this time. What I can offer is an engaged, research-driven audience and a platform that takes your story seriously.
