Submission Agreement
Before you begin, please read and agree to the following terms.
EXJW Stories Submission Agreement
By submitting a story to Jonathan Leger, you agree to the following:
1. Your Story, Your Responsibility
The story you submit is your own personal experience. You affirm that everything you share is truthful and accurate to the best of your recollection. You understand that personal memories may be imperfect, and you are encouraged to present your experience as your own perspective rather than making absolute claims about others' motivations or actions.
2. Publishing License
You grant Jonathan Leger a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, distribute, and display your submitted story on the EXJW Analyzer website, YouTube channel, and associated social media platforms. This license is perpetual but revocable (see section 6).
3. Editorial Discretion
Jonathan Leger reserves the right to decline to publish any submission for any reason, without explanation. Submission does not guarantee publication. Submissions may be lightly edited for technical quality (audio levels, transitions between segments) but the content of your words will not be altered.
4. No Verification Guarantee
Jonathan Leger does not independently verify the claims made in submitted stories. Published stories will include a disclaimer stating that the content represents the submitter's personal experience and perspective and has not been independently verified.
5. Content Guidelines
You agree NOT to include in your story:
- Full names or uniquely identifying details of minors (anyone under 18)
- Content that is intentionally fabricated or maliciously designed to harm a specific individual
- Copyrighted material (Kingdom Hall recordings, Watchtower publication readings beyond brief fair-use references, copyrighted music, etc.)
- Threats of violence against any person or organization
You are ENCOURAGED to:
- Use first names only or pseudonyms when referring to individuals (e.g., "an elder I'll call Dave" rather than full legal names)
- Focus on your personal experience and feelings rather than making legal accusations
- Use language like "in my experience," "from my perspective," or "what I witnessed" when describing others' behavior
6. Right of Removal
You may request removal of your published story at any time by emailing jonathanlegerpodcast@gmail.com. Jonathan Leger will remove the story from the website and delete or unlist the associated YouTube video within 30 days of receiving your request.
7. Voice Anonymization
If you choose the audio-only option, you may optionally request voice pitch-shifting to help protect your identity. While pitch-shifting makes voice recognition more difficult, Jonathan Leger cannot guarantee that voice anonymization will make you completely unidentifiable.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonathan Leger, his affiliates, and associated platforms from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from the content of your submitted story. If a third party brings a legal claim based on statements you made in your story, you accept responsibility for those statements.
9. Age Requirement
You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
10. Data Handling
Your recording and associated data (transcript, thumbnail) will be stored on Jonathan Leger's secure server. If your story is not approved for publication, your data will be deleted within 90 days. If you request removal of a published story, all associated data will be deleted within 30 days of removal.
